Where do you live? Henrico
Best business decision: “We didn’t rush entering into market until we were completely ready. The first four years we were focused on developing our core health IT products suite and establishing the technology architecture and platform. When we finally entered into the market, this strategy clearly set us apart in the market. It also positioned eHealthObjects to quickly gain our customers’ confidence in our capability to offer complete end-to-end solution.”
Worst business decision: “Agreeing to one strategic business relationship that didn’t work out both in the short term and the long term. This relationship took significant amount of time and efforts from our side with no potential returns. I should have thoroughly looked at many of the available facts before saying yes to the relationship.”
Mistake you learned the most from: “Making sure to review and analyze all available facts and data before getting into a strategic business relationship.”
What is the biggest challenge/opportunity in the next two to five years? “It has been extremely challenging to keep up with the constant changes in health IT policies, guidelines and standards. This trend is expected to continue for many years from now. However, these challenges do provide huge opportunities to companies like eHealthObjects who can respond to these changes quicker and efficiently.”
First job after college: “Systems engineer at Escorts Limited, whose businesses included operating hospitals and manufacturing railway equipment, motorcycles and tractors, in Faridabad, India.”
If you had to do it all over again, what would you do differently? “I am very pleased to see the growth eHealthObjects has made in such a short time. Except making smaller tweaks, I would not do anything significantly different.”
Movie that inspired you the most: “The movie ‘Agneepath’ or ‘The Path of Fire’ released in 1990 in India. The film is about a poem, ‘Agneepath,’ written by Harivansh Rai Bachchan, a renowned poet in India. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, son of Bachchan and the biggest movie star in India. This movie describes ‘The Path of Fire,’ which a person must cross in his or her life.”
Favorite/least favorite subject in school: “In school, math was my favorite and social studies was the least favorite. However, I developed a lot of interest in social studies as I grew older.”
